Can I play rugby and join a fraternity at the same time in college?

I play rugby in high school and I really like it a lot but I also want to join a fraternity so can I do both or can I only do one

Can't picture what a high-school fraternity would mean; sounds a terrible idea to me. But whatever. Look at what your total set of commitments may be. School; Family; Community service/faith community, perhaps. Then look at rugby and the fraternity, and see what is required of them - time, effort, schedules, expectations.... At this stage you may have to do some prioritizing, and that is something that only you can manage. Sounds like you think you are just about grown up, so it's time for you to make grown-up decisions. Maybe it would make sense for you to have a conversation with your rugby coach, to see what his advice might be, or with some of the senior players on your club. If you can't imagine raising this question, in about this form, with the coach and your most important teammates, then I think you have your answer. Likewise, if you know what they are going to say and that corresponds with what you want anyway, again, you have the answer. Mark L

Just play rugby, dont become a frat guy...

High school doesn't have fraternities. Rugby wasn't a varsity sport at my college but we had a club team on my campus and most rugby players were all brothers in my fraternity. Its very possible to do both.
