Can and should I play rugby?

I am 5ft 7inch, 120 pounds, 14 and I can run 100m in 13.9 seconds? I don't really know the rules or rugby but I think it's a sport for me, and it not what sport should I do?

One great thing about rugby is that it is a sport for all shapes and sizes. The old cliche is that you'll find the fat players in the front row, the tall ones at second row, the small behind the scrum at number 9 and the fast ones on the wing. In France they say that in a rugby team you have the ones that "move the pianos" and the ones that "play the pianos" - i like that. Of course in professional rugby, players tend to become more and more similar in terms of body shapes - look at Wales's scrum half Mike Philips (191 cm (6 ft 3 in) 104 kg (16 st 5 lb) - But even thought, rugby remains a sport where anyone can make a difference through superior skills, technique, vision or physical qualities. In the same team (Wales ) Shane Williams made an amazing international career (IRB International player of the year in 2008 - Wales' most capped winger, etc.) with a rather small stature of 1.70 m (5 ft 7 in). OK he was fast... ==>you are actually the same height right? So my advice; if you like the game - go for it and play! Work on your fitness and technique and enjoy. There is nothing that will stop you from playing @ any level if you really want to. And definitely nothing that will prevent you from making tackles, passing the ball and having fun on the pitch! If you want to seriously prepare go on You will find articles on rugby fitness and conditioning and tools that will help you set your objectives, create a training program, monitor your progress and overall take your performance higher.

There's nothing wrong with trying it, if you don't like it you don't have to continue. Just give it a go.
