This question can't be answered because you don't supply any information about the position of B relative to A and C. And, this may be a little pedantic of me, but the phrase "direction of the displacement," also contains a tautology in that, as a vector quantity, any calculation of displacement would already include direction because, as you know, vector quantities contain both magnitude and direction. It would be great if you could supply missing information so this question can be answered. I'm sure the knowledgeable members of the Rugby section would be more than happy to ignore it.
