I used to think the coach did not play a massive role in a teams play, and did not under stand why coaches were being sacked for poor game results. But then i was proven wrong. In the 2010/2011 which was the final season before our coach of 6 years was moving on. We had an incredible season, won the local league, national league came 2nd. It was simply an incredible season and a lot of players including myself played the best rugby we have ever played. Then for the 2011/2012 season a new guy game in, he was not very good and we had a **** season, sure we lost a couple good players, but we should not have been as poor as we were. And i blame the coach, he was an *** in some things he did, and he really brought the mood down of the whole team. In international level, i think the coach is vital. He is a man/woman whos job is too help improve and perfect players/teams. If you put some useless person in charge, they will do no good. Overall, coaches are crucial to a teams success, but of course the players themselves need to perform! Hope this helps! Ant.

For club and distreict sides, juniors very important. Helping players, tactics, motivation, teaching the game. For the senior games, Super 15, Heinekin Cup, Internationals it is much more motivational and tactics,
