Is &Ireland's Call& rugby anthem the most embarrassing thing in the history of sports?

Jesus Christ man. I had to mute it, so terrible.

Given the circumstances under which it was written -- the Irish Rugby Football Union being one of the few examples where Northern Ireland and the Irish Free State/Republic have been able to co-operate in a productive fashion over the last 100 years -- I would say it was something to take pride in.

The Welsh national anthem is the finest. When you stand in the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and listen to the passion you'll agree.

You don't say why its an embarrassing anthem. Is it the words or the tune ? If your Irish -- be patriotic man !

I agree with blm. By the way do you understand the meaning of the French anthem? It's extremely violent and bloody, I don't think it's beautiful at all. (Yet, I do think one has to be proud of his/her own country's anthem.)

What no, i am not Irish and I like it. The french and Scottish anthems are my favorite anthems from teams in the 6 nations though. My least favorite is England's, but its all my opinion
