Playing any sport you enjoy playing is definitely not gross. I just think that immature guys get intimidated by girls who could be more muscular or stronger than them (it hurts their ego). Personally, i think if they cannot stand the thought of a girl rugby player, than your teammates are lucky to avoid a douche!:)
Post a picture up and let us decide. Personally, it's more to do with whether someone finds you attractive or not, not which sport you play. Stereotypically girl rugby players are big, but stereotypes are there to be broken!
