I play rugby at the hooker position. I am in need of new boots/cleats but my dilemma is that I can't decide between getting a pair of 8 stud rugby boots or molded soccer boots. I live in Denver CO and the conditions i play on are usually not wet or muddy. All the forwards on ym team laugh at the backs who use football (soccer) boots because they slip all over the place when the pushing starts.

You should go for studded boots as you can replace the studs over time, moulded boots will wear down and in most cases are unrepairable.

I would suggest soccer boots. Go for Adidas, it lasts longer compared to the rest. The rugby 8 studs is good as well but for the long run, its not so effective. God bless.
