Was Dylan Hartley right to be sent off?

My opinion was that it was a red card offence,so he was right to be sent off. Others say that in the circumstances it spoilt the game a bit. I just wanted to get some other people's points of view. Also, Hartley's ban ends early than Richard Cockerill's, do you think that is correct as well?My opinion was that it was a red card offence,so he was right to be sent off. As a Leicester Tigers supporter who has been to every home game at Welford road and then sat in the corner stand at twickenham where Hartley got sent off, I think he should definitely have gone. He was told on numerous occasions that he had to keep his mouth shut and he continued to disrespect the referee. What does that tell youngsters about discipline? As for Cockerill he just went a bit to far, but should also be banned to enforce the discipline.

Hartley is a total ******** anyway. How many times has he been in trouble for stuff like biting? And gouging? Cockerill doesn't do himself any favours either. It isn't the first time he's engaged mouth before brain.

Your badge gives away the theme behind this question a bit, but as a supporter of the other East Midlands club I really do think the ban was justified but the duration was too long. As for Richard Cockerill I think he is very lucky to have got his ban moved forward a couple of weeks. What he said and his whole attitude did rugby no favours at all.
