Ways to demoralize the opposition in a rugby match?

What to do to make the opposition mentally demoralized and make more mistake?

The fastest and most convincing way to demoralize the opposition is to be (a) fitter and (b) better drilled at fundamentals. This will be apparent very rapidly, and if they cannot respond to that level of commitment and skill, the outcome will be clear. Stunts and tricks are just that - smoke and mirrors. Dominating set pieces (including the opening kick, regardless of which side of the ball you are on), producing quality ball for the backs, and executing ball handling in the backs is what wins games. That also is what wins you respect, which is what you really want, right? Mark L

thats a evil tactic. u play to have fun not to hurt ppl. i know i did that when i was little but it was wrong. please be nice. u dont want to make any enemies . love insted if u can. love liek jesus and have selfless good will like god

No team goes out to deliberately demoralise another (a good reason fore this is it can backfire). All you have to do is score more points.

One tactic that we always adhered to as a team was "to treat the gain line like your own try line" This advice is excellent for causing mistakes. So basically, you want to be defending the gain line with that much pressure and aggression that it causes the opposition to re-think their tactics and that's where mistakes start coming into play. Have a look at the Canterbury Crusaders, they're excellent at it. The play patient rugby by wearing the other team down so by the time you hit the 65 - 70 minute mark they're lost for ideas.
