Rugby league and union are two different sports codes with their own competitions. What you propose would be pointless to both codes and would never happen. Should wimbledon champion Andy Murray play the world badminton champion because in both sports they use a racket or the best baseball team play the best softball team in the world because they both use a bat ? All these sports have different rules and tactics just like league and union does. EDIT: BLM - The NRL champion is from the Aust national rugby league comp. I can only assume that the asker is not aware that the Super rugby(union ) and NRL (league ) comps are two different sporting codes. p/s I am aware that their been charity 'novelty' games in Aust between all star league and union players - 40 min of each code but its just that -- a novelty.
They aren't even the same sport !! there's is no such thing However there's between NRL champion &Super League champion and it's called "world club challenge) holds every year at the start of the season (February) *super League (An north England competition plus a club from south of France)
