There is a rugby league category on yahoo. If you are in Nz -- go to football (Nz) and you will find a sub category for league - same procedure if you are in Aust. Being a league fan myself -- I must admit the Nz league section is hardly used. If I remember a couple of years ago yahoo did place league as a sporting category next to rugby union but due to a lack of use -- they made it a sub category.
I think you exaggerate with your premise. Outside of eastern Australia and northern England, League is a sideshow at best, totally dominated by the Union game. Look at the squads from the last League world cup -- aside from Australia, New Zealand and England, the teams were dominated by expatriate Australians and Englishmen who only qualified for their respective "countries" through the three-year residency or the grandparent rule. But that said, if you look under the subsets Sports/Football/Australian, you'll find a Rugby League section.
I like a bit of league but it is only seriously played in three area, the east coast of Australia, the Auckland area of NZ and northern England. There is a Yahoo Answers rugby league site, click on Football (Australian).
