George North ............George North incredibly hoists Israel Folau into the air whilst carrying the ball forward
George North, he picked up Israel Falou and ran with him for goodness sake!!!
I can guarantee anyone who answers this will do so with bias, and won't have watched Super rugby and Pro12/Heineken games to judge both all year long. I prefer North as a player as he's just a pure animal.
It really depends what you mean. Who is better at what? They each have different skills they are better at. George North is an overall beast. He is great at running the ball and is very strong. At the same time as being fast and agile, George North can smash people too, he also has a good skill to offload at times. But lets not forget, Isreal Folau had his first debut against the Lions, scoring two tries. (Like North, but his was against SA) Folau has had experience before in rugby league and afl so he has a great skill of competing for the high ball. For me, I really like both of these players and I really can't pick one. George North is better at being beast and he is more to the stronger side, and Israel Folau I think has better catching skills and he is more to the speedy/agile side.
Obviously George North has been playing rugby union longer than Israel Folau so he has probably more rugby instincts than Folau who is in his first year of union. Yet saying that, Folau has become a quick learner and has justified his place in the Wallaby team but I think North is still a better all round player than Folau. Last Saturday night neither of them were given much opportunities to run with the ball. Lets hope that both teams this Saturday will use these two talented wingers who could become match winners for their teams.
