How to care for a school rugby field?

Old School has the general direction. One bit extra: If this is actually a school field (or a municipal one that is used by the school), then try to coordinate with the regular maintenance staff to see how you and your club can undertake some responsibilities that are in accord with their plans and schedules. I am certain they will greatly appreciate that you involved them, and they will doubtless have experience and equipment that you need to do a good job. There will be some special tasks - fertilization, for example, and application of weed killers. Also annual maintenance of the sprinklers. They also will want to work with you on how you apply lime (or whatever you are using) to mark the field, as this has chemical consequences for the health of the grass. If the field is open to the public, there may be issues with animal wastes that you should talk over with the maintenance staff to see how that can be managed safely and hygienically. {When I played with a club in Denver (USA) there was a major issue with Canada geese in all the parks, and the decaying goose feces were a serious issue with respect to residence in the grass and soil of bacteria and viruses, including in at least one instance that affected our club, Staph. Good to see someone stepping up and taking on some responsibility for operational details such as this. Mark L.

At my school they paint it for the sport ither rugby football or soccer depending on the time of the year we don't have grass there are some clover and weeds mostly mud after the sports seasons they sprinkle grass seed but that's it

Fertilizer, mowing regularly, watering, spiking, limit the usage if possible.

like you would for a lawn. make sure it is free of debris, it is watered, mowed regularly, and generally kept in good order.
