What does the blind side flanker do in rugby?

So basically I joined a rugby club yesterday and I played blind side flanker and I was confused in what to please help!

Basically, your job is to be fast and a good tackler. As a flanker, your main role is in the scrum, and you are meant to push in the scrum but also be ready to quickly break free, because the idea is that if your opposition gets the ball, then you quickly break free and put pressure and tackle whoever has the ball in the oppositions line. Because you were positioned as blind side, it means that you are always on the side of the scrum which is closer to the sideline and not open, hence the other flanker position being called open side. Other than that, Rugby is a team game and I'm sure team mates would be happy to help you out even if you dont know them. Hope this clears a few things up, Good luck!
