I know that you don't have to be a forward to be in a ruck so I will sometimes get in a ruck but what is his m Ian role? A centres job is given to somebody who's not afraid to run straight and push straight through the opposition. You should try and brake the line and get through and also you have to be good at tackling. So your a bit of a forward and a back. You will get the ball often and you should try run straight and pass off to help to your team form brakes in the line. This is my understanding of it anyways.

Centres are the men who lay on the ground to prevent the opponents from turning the ball over.
