What is the average size of college club rugby girls?

I've never played rugby before, and ill be starting at an all girls school this fall and I wanted to join the rugby team. But I'm a bit nervous because rugby girls are known for being bigger. I'm 18, 5' 5" and 110 pounds. I have plenty of muscle and I'm aggressive so I think I'll be ok, but are most girls like 6'+ and 150+ pounds?I've never played rugby before, and ill be starting at an all girls school this fall and I wanted to join the rugby team. There are different positions that fit different body types/skill levels! Rugby is a great sport in that way. Forwards tend to be more heavy set, well built, while backs are generally the sleeker and faster type players. Forwards primarily use strength while backs will use their speed. Depending on the rest of your team, I'd guess you'll be put with the backs. When we square up to another team (at least mine does this), we'll pick the matching player on the other team and tag them, so you should be worrying about someone that's about the same build as you. One of the best players I know is 4'9", probably 130 pounds of pure, raging intensity. What I love about rugby is that weight and height will never dictate how great of a player you are - its all about your intensity, dedication and teamwork. You'll do great :)
