I am in grade 11. Im 16. 5ft7 and im 158. what position should i play in rugby, my friends keep telling me to play hooker. Also, how far can " sledgeing " go without being fouled?I am in grade 11. The traditional "small man" position in rugby is scrum half. If you have enough pace, you could think about playing on the wing - Shane Williams (link below) is the third highest international try scorer of all time, he was your height and not a lot heavier than you. At your weight, you would be very light to play anywhere in the forwards, hooker included. Like anything against the laws, sledging can go as far as the referee allows. My personal advice would be to ignore it and get on with your game - it's an unnecessary distraction.

it depends wether you play league or union. i play rugby league and if you do you should play hooker. if your any good at kicking maybe half back.

Im not a forward myself, but i would say definatly play hooker. Or perhaps number 8. Although if youve got good catching skills and quick feet, try playing wing
