I used to play wing but i wasn't suited to it, recently i moved to flanker but have also played hooker and prop.I am about 5"2 to 5"4 and weigh 60 kilos, solid build about half a stone overweight any guesses?I used to play wing but i wasn't suited to it, recently i moved to flanker but have also played hooker and prop.I am about 5"2 to 5"4 and weigh 60 kilos, solid build about half a stone overweight any guesses?

It sounds like you are doing the right thing at the moment, i.e. trying out many different positions whilst your still young :) When i was sixteen I played as prop, lock, flanker and No 8. I was never fast enough to get in the backs. it's how you develop over the next couple of years that will be important. If you've already got a bit of a belly, the only place you can get away with it these days is in the front row ;D If you are fast enough to be considered for the wing, then flanker may be the most natural position, as you'll still get to use that pace. Of course, if you shift the weight, you'll be faster still. Having a flanker with pace to burn is invaluable for any side. Speak to your coach. He'll be able to advise you best. Most importantly - enjoy playing! Good luck for the future.

hooker. I'm also U-16 and am 6'1 250, play prop. You are small, with a belly- the typical desc. of a hooker
