Bodyweight training for rugby?

Posted at: 2014-07-08
i've recently taken an interest in rugby and i am wanting to train for the sport. (i know how violent and how much damage it can do but it really looks amazing!) i have a small somewhat skinny body (though i've packed on some muscle) i was wondering if i could do bodyweight exercises to build up even more muscle? i have been doing bodyweight exercises but i want to know more of those types of exercises to help me bulk up. i'm not realy interested in actual weights/dumbbells or going to the gym (been doing good without one so far ^~^) please, any advice would be greatly appreciatedi've recently taken an interest in rugby and i am wanting to train for the sport. Hmm try doing pushups and keep at running n exercising daily. Its good that youre skinny/muscular but if you are looking to add a bit more weight without gym just try eating more protein such as chicken eggs beef etc Also more carbs too like Wholemeal bread porridge etc.Try this and after a month or two u should have put on 5 kilos of muscle :)

No No no no no!!! Depending on your position you need to lift heavy and explosive! Bodyweight training will simply not do. You will get snapped and hurt. You need to focus on your training and try to lift heavier and train harder than your competition.
