I'm an 18 year old Rugby-Prob and I would like to have a little Gym at home. Until now I've trained with a TRX suspension trainer. What Equtiment would you sugest? I've planned to not spend over 400 Euros for it.I'm an 18 year old Rugby-Prob and I would like to have a little Gym at home. Until now I've trained with a TRX suspension trainer. Had no idea what a TRX suspension trainer was but just looked it up, it looks great for cross training and offering resistance. For a Prop I don't know that you can simulate anything with home equipment that wouldn't cost a bit of money but maybe secondhand might be the way to go. i.e Olympic bar and weights and a bench and doing the 4x4 Stronglifts i.e Bench Press, Clean and Press, Squats and Deadlifts. Other than that a couple of tyres in your back yard if that is possible of various sizes one of normal size so you can do squat overhead presses with and one oversized for turning end on end. Realise this might not be quite practical. Other than that I recommend resistance bands for working especially the legs and glutes. I carry one with me when I go to the gym to mix it up because it works different muscles when I'm not doing squats or lunges. Speaking of some stepup boxes or a bench is very handy and has mulitple uses especially an adjustable one.

I think the best thing to do it to buy a barbell, some weight disks and a squat Stand. there are virtually no exercises you cant do with that set up. Ive had it for years and its always worked for me. you can get them really cheap as well. cheers
