I have always liked playing rugby but never been in a team. I'm looking for a team to join in Medway , Kent but cant find one. I have been looking online for hours. Please help me as i want to get fit in 2014. If anyone knows of clubs in Medway or how i can find a club please let me know. Thank you. XxI have always liked playing rugby but never been in a team. Hi Sophie, your best bet is to go to your nearest Rugby Club and ask someone involved with the club. Whoever is in charge will know, or will know someone who knows, where you can play. All clubs have a connection to the National Body (RFU, for you) so you just have to ask - in person or by phone.

Girls' clubs tend to come and go a bit, but Kent as a whole has generally had a good record in the sport. Keeley Fathers at the RFU (KeeleyFathers@rfu.com) will be a good contact in within the RFU as she will know about the leading league teams. Alternatively one of your county RDOs (Rugby Development Officers) will know about everything in your county. There is a list here - you are in Area 3 - and of the five names listed for Kent the one I'd recommend most for girls' rugby would be Rachel Burford. Finally the Women's Six Nations starts soon. If you can get to any England games (the game against Ireland at Twickenham has free entry!) there will be plenty of people around to as for advice, and loads of people from clubs from all around the country. Check out Scrumqueens (www.scrumqueens.com) for more information. Good luck!
