Hi all, my english is not that good so please bear with me. I am assigned with a debating assessment in which the topic is about: "The salary cap system should be abandoned by the NRL" I am the negative side. I have never done a debating before. I am in serious need of help. Although i know info about why the salary cap is good for NRL, i am not sure how to do it during the debate. Do i just follow up from the affirmative speaker and just say "i disagree with your opinion, i believe that the salary cap should not be abandoned by the nrl because...." Without a salary cap the rich teams horde all the star players and thus win all the trophies. But a salary cap evens the playing field and allows poorer teams to compete. Compare the list of recent winners between best sports league in the world, NFL, with say La Liga. Albeit the NFL also has 100% revenue sharing, so the parity between the teams is not solely due to the salary cap.
