Mouth Guard gagging tips?

I've tried clipping them a bit, helps but doesnt solve the problem Seems I only have the gagging problem when i clench my teeth together with my mouth guard in Been a year since i tried the mouthwash bit to change the taste so idk about that. So basically if the problem really is based in me clenching it, how do you really wear it properly? Do you just stick it in there and leave my mouth open and hanging?I've tried clipping them a bit, helps but doesnt solve the problem Seems I only have the gagging problem when i clench my teeth together with my mouth guard in Been a year since i tried the mouthwash bit to change the taste so idk about that. IT may be that the mouthguard is not too long bu too thick. There are mouthguards out there that are thin such as many optimum mouth guards but still offer great protection. Or go for the top of the range under armour ones or a dentist fit one as these although expensive will provide the best protection but as they are moulded perfectly to your mouth should not gag you like many of the cheaper diy mouthguards. Also definitely do not chew or bite hard on it as this will ruin the mould and damage the guard so it lowers the level of protection required when hit.

Don't chew on it, get a new one and don't chew on it. You can try a smaller size.
