Ok so I've been thinking lately that I might not me suited to the position I play. I have a reasonably high standard of playing and as I'm progressing near to senior level I was thinking that I should sort out a permanent position and train hard to play there. Currently I'm all over the place, playing anywhere in the pack, but I have a reasonably good kicking game and pass too. So my question is what position would, in your opinion, best suit a 17 year old, 5ft 11", 75kg guy? To me, you sound like a center, possibly inside, as you have that build to break through the defence. However, you haven't said anything about your speed, which plays a big part in the position. But yeah, try center, and if that doesn't work, maybe try a wing? Hope this helps!

Personally I play centre, I'm a bit lighter than you, but I still enjoy playing there. I think that you would benefit from playing centre from the information you've given. As long as you keep up good fitness, handling skills, carrying skills and tackling skills you'd be an excellent centre. Good luck :) Matt.
