The ref interpreted it as a deliberate knock-down, although a sin-binning was definitely too harsh, especially given how close he was to regathering. Poite is having a shocker so far. Better off having Owens for all three matches.
He got penalised for a deliberate knock on but you could see he hit it up so as to regather, which he nearly did. A poor decision all way round.
