He has good chances of making the touring although Slater is still the form fullback of the NRL. Dugan on reputation alone might replace him though. Edt: Well they haven't named the side yet so there is a chance he will make it but you need to remember they also have Jarrod Hayne, Greg Inglis (prob be in the centre though), Brett Stewart, Josh Dugan, and Darrius Boyd. Also remember when the Queensland State of Origin team was announced, he didn't even get a look in. Edit: Yup, it doesn't get any better than NRL League. I don't think it's a matter of that, I believe it's to do with him being a young player and the coaches not wanting to force him into the limelight quickly. He did have a few personal off-field incidents which may hinder his chances. Give it time, but Slater still has a lot to offer and a wealth of experience.
He may go as a utility but that would be it. Slater, Inglis, Hayne and Dugan are all in front of him as far as fullback goes.
Yes, hes one of the top NRL fullbacks behind Slater and Inglis but whether he can make the Kangaroo squad ahead of either of these two is a big call by the selectors.
