Will 7s overtake the 15 man game?

In some senses us. It's inclusion in the Olympics will raise it's profile, particularly in North America, and tournaments may become more popular. But not in the sense of club competitions like the Avivia Premiership or the Super-15. The game lacks some of the physicality which is one of rugby's major appeals. And a 7s match only lasts 14 minutes. Not exactly suitible to an afternoon out with the family or filling a TV slot for one of the sports networks. 7s has it's place, but it isn't going to overtake the 15s game as the main form of the game.

in popularity, yes. especially in the us where is they are not showing 15's, only 7's.

Not in Traditional Rugby playing countries spectator wise but the amount of people playing I can imagine it will. In countries such as Kenya, and less developed Rugby playing nations It will become bigger.

Well mabey as its the one that's gonna be in the 2016 Olympics but at least in Canada where I live most of the high schools and universities or collages that have rugby play 15s not 7s

I can't see this in the traditional nations anyway. 7's is held more as a place to go and socialise and talk to fans when you go to the games than other rugby types. It's not taken as seriously in my opinion atleast, especially compared to something like the 6N or Heineken cup where fans bey for blood. But as the other lad said, in terms of countries that haven't seen rugby before, its flowing nature may attract new fans to the sport of rugby as a whole. Also its popularity is always high among players as its just a chance to run around and usually have a bit of a bbq between rounds, atleast thats how its done in England.
