Advantages and disadvantages of height in rugby?

I am currently a 5ft 9 , 14.5 stones and I am playing as center for a rugby club. At professional level , this is considered short and I was wondering if it would be too short to be able to be a good center a the highest level. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this height in rugby? ( knowing that I am much more of a crash ball and hard hitting center rather than the side-stepping kind)I am currently a 5ft 9 , 14.5 stones and I am playing as center for a rugby club. No that's actually a good height. You wouldn't want to be any shorter though. I am 6 foot 2 and used to play prop. As I've already said it isn't too bad. It's probably a good height for a centre. Some advantages are that you have got a little more balance and ground which is needed for a centre. Disadvantage are basically nothing. You are a decent height for a centre. It is probably better to be short if you are a hard hitting kind of guy so you can sorta come from underneath and sort of put that shoulder in a bit easier than the taller guys because they sort of have to lean over. Hope that helped.

Rugby believe it or not is one of the few team sports where height plays little role. The main benefits of height usually are more size, longer stride length making you cover ground quicker, and more height in the line out. Those usually only apply to certain positions in certain situations. It may help in some cases to have a lower center of gravity as long as you are still strong.
