I'd call it a saw-off between England and ireland and the moment. But of course, it also turns on which particular French team decides to show up on any given day. Some days they are world-beaters, and other days they are hopeless, and you never know which you are going to get.
Seeing as I was born and used to live there, I'm admittedly biased in responding France. Having said that, they've looked fairly sharp lately if I do say so myself (33-6 exhibition win against Australia followed shortly thereafter by a 39-22 exhibition win against Argentina, a team France has struggled against in recent years). Let's put it this way: if France can pull off what would admittedly be an upset victory against England in Twickenham on February 23rd, it's difficult for me to imagine anyone else denying them the Championship Trophy. Allez les Bleus!
England, but very close, and the thing is that any giving day anyone can beat anyone, wales is close, ireland really good, but france is the close of them all to england
Personally after seeing what England did at Twickenham against the All Blacks I'd say them. I mean I'm biased because I am English, but they were stunning on that day and can hopefully only get better.
