It's not that anyone hates him, the concern is that there are better halfs running arounf than Phipps. White is a much better player than Phipps as is Valentine at the Force. Probably the only Australian half that Phipps is better than nwas McKibbin at the Waratahs and we're going to be stuck with the both of them next season.
